SKOLKOVO CENTRAL PARK
The Central Park is one of seven parks of Skolkovo Gardens at Skolkovo IC in Moscow.
Since the Central Park is one of the most nature preserved areas within whole Skolkovo IC, our design aim is maintaining, restoring and enhancing the nature of this area to be the center of recreation of Skolkovo IC. Central Park is situated around a large natural pond and a birch forest at the south of the Hyper Cube designed by Boris Bernaskoni. The context is characterized by a gentle slope from the pond going up towards the new train station / commercial center of Skolkovo IC. The north edge of the pond is carefully reframed by walk/cycle paths and simple wooden piers to accommodate accessibility and places to stay while the water edge stays natural. The south edge optimizes its given nature with a simple loop-shaped wooden pier.
