Early 2004 farm burned Uithof, which includes nursery Frog, almost complete. It was decided to restoration and rebuilding of the monument. The construction of the nursery Little Frog, which is next to the farm Veen Drost + architects realized in 2003, gave rise to a new assignment. Due to some inventive interventions project architect Evelien van Veen has a safe and fantasy stimulating environment for babies and toddlers and creating a pleasant working environment for teachers.The originally 17th-century farm house T-Uithof, namesake of the Utrecht University campus, located on the south side of the area overlooking meadows. After the fire of the rest were back home only the outer walls and the porch was seriously battered. The assignment Drost + van Veen architects ushered hand it carefully back building of the farm within the framework of the monumentenwet- and regulations. Alternatively, the building had to meet the demands placed on a modern nursery. Moreover, the fear was there after the fire well, so the highest demands on fire safety.
